News From Terran

Received 27 July

Hello guys I have landed safely in Germany. First we went to Auckland at 5.00 p.m. The flight was 1 hour long. As the flight was delayed because of the earthquakes we got to Auckland in 45 minutes. Our next flight was to San Francisco and it left 30-40 minutes later .This next flight was 12 hour long and most of the way we were flying at 1000 kms per hour and when I looked out of the window it looked like we weren't going anywhere. When we got to San Francisco we missed our connecting flight to Frankfurt so we had to wait another 5 hours till our next flight. So we went on a train that runs around San Francisco's airport. Then at 9.00 p.m., we went to the boarding place and then I saw that we were flying with a German plane called Lufthansa.

Hello Guys
I am now in Germany. The temperature was at 38.6C the other day and therefore it was very hot here. That day there was also a thunder storm and it woke me up and I could not get to sleep for the whole night. Two or three days later we went to a swimming pool, it had a one meter diving board, a three meter diving board, and a five meter diving tower and I jumped off the three and the one meter boards, and if you are thinking that the five meter board isn´t that high think again:it is!!!
see you soon bye

100 School days in Super 7

Today it was the 100th day at School this year.  Wow how time flies!

We did many things to help us understand many things about 100.

we:
  • did 100 star jumps
  •  made 100 in play dough- each number was made in 100 seconds
  • tied our shoelaces as many times as we could in 100 seconds
  • did 100 steps
  • tried to write 100 animals
  • did as many jumps as possible in 100 seconds
  • wrote as many words as we could in 100 seconds- a point for each syllable ( if it was spelt correctly)
  • created 'what number am I?' within 100 using our maths knowledge
  • wrote a 100 day letter, filling in the gaps to make it makes sense
  • read a 100 day poem called '100 is a lot'
100 star jumps
We made them all!

How many times can I tie my lace in 100 seconds?

Capturing what's happening and reflecting on it!

When we learn something new, grasp something that's been challenging us or just get a buzz out of being able to do something that we couldn't before it is an amazing feeling.  We want to capture those feelings and share them with others.

We are going to use Pic Collage to help us capture and reflect on some of those things.

Download pic collage on your devices to join in the fun.

When we have checked it out a little there may be some alternatives that we could share that would do the same job
